It offers various 'eco-experience' programs like 'forest preservation.' 'biotopoe' and 'nature dye' courses and is also equipped with training and learning facilities including a main auditorium which can accommodate 300 people, cultural facilities including an exhibition hall and an outdoor stage and also various eco gardens like Mushroom Hall, Fern Hall and a botanical garden. There is also a wooden deck that leads to the top of the mountain in a gentle slope so the elders, children and people who are physically challenged can pleasantly enjoy the forest.

If you want to get away from the urban life and relax and learn the true value of our nature, this is the perfect spot. You can participate in 'Forest Monitoring', 'Forest Healing', 'Green Learning' and other great environmental programs or simply enjoy the forest.

Soopchewon is a mind-and-body-healing resort located at 850m altitude based on Mt. Cheongtae.

The cabin has 52 rooms which can accommodate up to 290 people. Also, there are cultural facilities including an exhibition hall and an outdoor stage, convenient facilities including a cafeteria, snack shop and a kitchen, training facilities including a main auditorium, Learning Room and Experience Room and various eco gardens like Mushroom Hall, Fern Hall and a botanical garden as well as many forest experience sites and trails.
How to get here
From Seoul, Incheon, Busan Gwangju and Chungcheong-do : Take the Yeongdong Expressway, exit Dunnae I.C, head to Dunnae for about 1km. Then, when you see a 3-way intersection, turn right and go about 2km until you see a 4-way intersection. At this intersection, keep going straight ahead about 6km and at some point, you'll see Sapgyo Rest Area on your left and Dunnae Youth Hostel sign across the expressway on your right. Keep going straight, take the old Yeongdong Expressway (County Road No. 19) and go about 4km and you'll see the entrance sign of Soopchewon on your left. (It takes about 15 min from Dunnae I.C to Soopchewon.)
From Gangwon Province : Take the Yeongdong Expressway, exit Myeongon IC, take the old Yeongdong Expressway (County Road No. 19) and go about 13km and you'll see the entrance sign of Soopchewon on your left. It's about 13km and it takes about 20 min from Myeono IC to Soopchewon.
Yeongdong Expressway → Dunnae IC → turn right at a 3-way intersection → Sapgyo Rest Area → Soopchewon
Yeongdong Expressway → Myeonon IC → Turn left after passing the County Road No. 19 (first tunnel) → Soopchewon
